Where our names come from
How often we remember the stories and rhymes, we have been told in our childhood, and they are in our mind for a lifetime.
Because we connect sweet childhood memories with them: how we layed in our bed after a day filled with play and fun and now listening to Mummy reading us a story, how we sat on the floor surrounded by our books watching the pictures and dreaming our own stories or how granny told us a story while we where sitting in her lab…..
Dianna Effner must have felt the same while she created our beautiful Boneka Effner dolls with love.
She named our Boneka Dolls after the old english nurcery rhyme „Monday’s Child“
I don’t want to give an interpretation of this rhyme by purpuse, because we all have our own feelings about our doll’s character, we all see different stories in their faces and I want you to keep your individual stories and your dreams.
But why the a gap between Tuesday and Thursday? Will this gap ever be filled one day?
All who are waiting for filling this gap I am sorry to tell you that this will not happen.
Because Dianna created a Wednesday’s Child already long time ago.
But aren’t we happy that we can play Mondays and Tuesdays and Thursdays?
Yes we are.
Therefore I wish you many many playful hours and a fun time with our Boneka Effner dolls on every day of the week
With warm wishes from the doll house in Braunfels
Claudia
I have a 2006 Wednesday child #129/500 Europe edition, can you give me some info on her as she is much bigger than the others. Thank you Julie
Dear Julie, we appologize in advance but we do not know all dolls that have been sold by Dianna Effner in the past. We recommand to join one of the Dianna Effner facebook groups. The members have a wide range of knowledge. You might also want to visit Dianna Effner\'s website: http://diannaeffner.com/ Kind Regards Claudia, Boneka Tradition
Wow, you reminded me of my childhood.
