Boneka Effner Dolls come in three different molds/sculpts:
Tuesday’s Child, Monday’s Child and Thursday’s Child
Although collectors maybe have all three different sculpts it might is difficult to determine the differences. Here is a little help to point out what they have in common and what the differences are.
DRESS AND SHOE SIZE:
All doll sculpts wear the same dress size 24cm and shoe size 38N.
Only at Monday’s Childs and Thursday's Childs the dress length appears a bit shorter.
WIG SIZE:
Monday’s Childs and Thursday’s Childs have a bigger head and wear a wig size 6-7 inch,
While Tuesday’s Child wear a wigsize 5-6.
It is a personal matter of taste to choose a wig size 6-7 for Tuesday’s child; depending on the hair style the hair might looks more voluminous.
BODY:
Monday's and Thursday's have the same body. Tuesday's Child's torso is a tiny bit smaller.
The total doll size of Tuesday's Child is a tiny bit smaller than the other dolls due to the smaller head and smaller torso. The differences are minimal.
Watching the legs and hips you will notice that each doll stands with weight on different legs.
While Tuesday's Child's left leg is bent at the knee, Monday's Child's right leg is bent at the knee. Monday's Child dolls appear to stand straighter.
Also Monday’s left arm bends more toward the body and her hands are a tiny bit bigger
EYES:
The most visible and obvious difference is the eye shape.
Tuesday’s Child’s eyes are painted more round, Monday’s Child’s eyes are bigger and more oval with a little curve on upper part which gives her a wistful face expression. Thursday’s Child’s eyes have been painted smaller in the past and are more the asian style.
Depending on the edition the eye brows are painted different. Pictures show a light skin and tan doll in comparison.
NOSE:
Also the noses are different.
Tuesday's Child has a wider nose than Monday's Child; Monday's Child has a slightly upturned nose.
WHO'S THAT DOLL?
If you are still not sure about the doll type you are just holding in your hand you can always remove the wig and have a look at the back of the head. Tadaaaa!
Also the certificate that came with your new doll tells you beside the name and edition the doll sculpt
What ever the differences are:
All dolls are made from high quality vinyl and are factory hand painted with care and of course are
